What is AREMA?
AREMA is Finexus's e-invoicing solution, built to fit businesses of every size. It comes in four tiers: Standard, Premium, Enterprise, and Retail. Each tier is tailored to a different type of business, from hawkers and freelancers to banks and large retail chains.
How do I find the right tier for my business?
The right AREMA tier depends on your business size and industry. If you're still not sure, reach out to us through our Contact Us page and our team will help you find the right fit, guiding you through setup, integration, and customisation tailored to your business needs.
How does AREMA's validation process work?

AREMA ensures your e-invoice data complies with IRBM's standards by:

  • Validating data for accuracy.
  • Flagging discrepancies or errors for you to review and correct.

 

This ensures successful submission to IRBM.

How do I choose between file integration and API integration?

AREMA offers two integration methods for e-invoice processing with IRBM:

  • File integration — Best if your system isn't API-ready or your operations rely on batch processing. You upload files in the prescribed format, and AREMA handles the data mapping, validation, and submission to IRBM.
  • API integration — Best for near real-time processing. AREMA connects your ERP or accounting system directly to IRBM, with your invoice data mapped to IRBM's required fields for submission.

 

Both methods are fully automated, ensuring a seamless integration process, and are only available on Premium and Enterprise plans.

Can the e-invoice layout be customised?

Yes, AREMA offers customisation of the validated e-invoice layout to meet your business requirements while adhering to IRBM's formatting standards. This is only available on Premium and Enterprise plans.

What are the steps involved in implementing AREMA?
  1. Consultation — Conduct workshops to understand your requirements and choose the appropriate integration method.
  2. Setup and implementation — Configure AREMA based on your specifications.
  3. Testing — Perform end-to-end testing with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) to ensure smooth functionality.
  4. Go-live — Deploy AREMA to your production environment.

These are only applicable to Premium and Enterprise plans.

Do we need to change or replace our existing ERP or billing system to use AREMA?

AREMA sits as middleware between your existing systems and LHDN's MyInvois. It extract transaction data, transforms it to the required format, digitally signs it, and submits for validation, without changing how your teams currently issue invoices or statements.
