An Operations Executive in a Business Processing Operation (BPO) department plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the BPO. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the department functions efficiently and effectively to meet the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Care Call Centre:
- Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints via calls and emails.
- Manage ad-hoc assignments or tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Possess basic knowledge of the end-to-end life cycle of card transactions and call center operations.
- Demonstrate a customer service-oriented approach.
- Fraud:
- Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies, including setting rules and parameters for transaction monitoring systems.
- Analyze transaction data and fraud patterns to identify new trends and emerging threats, adapting fraud prevention strategies accordingly.
- Stay updated on the latest fraud trends, techniques, and technologies, and provide training to raise awareness of fraud prevention.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements related to fraud prevention and reporting.
- Take immediate action to block or flag affected accounts in case of confirmed fraud to prevent further unauthorized transactions.
- Merchant Application Processing:
- Oversee the entire onboarding process and monitor its progress.
- Collaborate with the IT department on system enhancements.
- Review daily reports for any adverse findings in the onboarding setup.
- Periodically review processes.
- Ensure the Service Level Agreements (SLA) of each client are met.
- UAT/Support Team:
- Ensure the quality and timely submission of User Acceptance Tests.
- Handle tasks with minimal supervision from management.
- Monitor ATM conditions and balances, and manage terminal handling and inventory.
- Possess a basic knowledge of the end-to-end life cycle of card transactions in Issuing and Acquiring businesses.
- Knowledge of ATM and terminal handling is an added advantage.
- Settlement & Reconciliation
- Ensure settlement advisories/memos are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate posting of accounting entries.
- Ensure the preparation of regulatory reports in a timely manner.
- Possess a basic knowledge of the end-to-end life cycle of settlement, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting in Issuing and Acquiring businesses.
- Have the ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent.
- Dedication and a proactive attitude.
- Experience in the Banking/Financial/Payment Ecosystem is preferable.
- Relevant certifications related to the role will be an advantage.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
