As an Information Security Engineer at Finexus Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for protecting an organization’s computer systems and networks from cyber threats. Play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of information.

Join our Information Security Team, report to the Head of the Information Security team, and enjoy the opportunity to Deploy and maintain security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and encryption tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of security systems within the organization.
• Working closely with all levels of the organization to ensure that security aligns with security and organizational risk management policies.
• Coordinating with the IT and Application teams regarding technical considerations, such as user rights/privileges and system access, to ensure proper implementation and provide ongoing support for all security operations.
• Managing and maintaining the corporate network infrastructure.
• Evaluating existing systems and procedures and making recommendations for improvements as needed.
• Manning the Security Operations Center (SOC) and evaluating and monitoring systems for potential threats.
• Maintaining corporate compliance and certification status and collaborating with a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) during the recertification process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP networks, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), Unix systems (HP-UX/AIX/Solaris/RHEL), and web/legacy application/network programming is an added advantage.
• Preferably a minimum of 2 years of working experience.
• Knowledge in Cyber Security.
• Knowledge of penetration testing tools, network tracing tools (WireShark, Ethereal), and application and database security is a plus but not a requirement.
• Attention to detail and a no-compromise attitude when it comes to security matters.
• A strong drive to stay updated with the latest security threats, best practices, and issues.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
